whatever was holding us together

has been severed I think

are we frozen without each other

unable to function as two

i can't tell if we're breathing

or if we're just holding our breath till this moment slips by

can you think without me

can you move

can I move

i don't seem to be able to walk away

you don't look concerned that I will

you also don't look anything at all

suddenly you move involuntarily

double over and retch like the last thousand times

i don't need to be here for this

don’t need another lesson in torment

i wait for you to sit back up but you don't

you ARE going to get up right?

but getting up is voluntary

a choice, not a reaction

you need me

i’m not sure i need you

but we've lifted our head up so many times

a few more might be a badge of honor

or not
